Concrete Poem!

In Literacy we have been doing a lot of work on poems and here is one of mine. Enjoy!

The drumming hoofbeat can be heard over the rushing wind.
Hooves pounding the grass, deadly fast.

  1. Clara, You have chosen some great descriptive words. Rushing wind, drumming hoofbeats and pounding all help your reader see, hear and feel the picture you are painting with words. Remember that with a concrete poem you are actually shaping the words into the shape of an object related to the poem, so for example you might have shaped these into an outline of a horse.
