One Word Speech!
Hi My name’s Clara and my word is confidence.
Since I first started school I have never been the most confident person, hiding myself in with everybody else and not being noticed. My brother and sister have really helped me, encouraging me to try new things and appreciate the good stuff.
My confidence has grown heaps but it wasn’t until this year that I really noticed. Whether it was being made to stand up and say the Mihi Whakatau in the mornings or just putting my hand up and answer questions in front of the class.
Now I feel ready for high school and confident to try new things.

Jokes!
Every morning we start the day with handwriting that our teacher Mr Redmond puts up. We have to make sure we get the correct spelling, punctuation and linking. They are usually pretty terrible dad jokes that make everyone roll their eyes but this morning he put up one that for the first time in two years was good! This is it:
"I've decided to sell my vacuum cleaner."
"It's just collecting dust."

End of year Speech!
As the end of the year is getting closer I have started to write a speech to say at the end of year assembly. Its not nearly done yet but I have 2 and a bit paragraphs down that still need editing but they are coming along quite well. Another bit I want to add in is a bit to the year 6s that are coming into year 7 next year and my advice. I am happy with what I have so far and I hope the rest will be easy to write.
